A Family Sent with Purpose
We're the Millers — a family from the USA who answered a call that took us across an ocean, into a culture we had to learn, and into a community we've come to love.
Where it began
From America to Italy
We didn't always picture ourselves living in Italy. We were a regular American family — rooted in our church, our community, our routines. But over time, a quiet and persistent call began to grow in our hearts: go.
It wasn't easy. Leaving behind family, friends, and the familiar is never simple. But we packed our lives into suitcases, said our goodbyes, and stepped into the unknown — trusting that the One who called us would be faithful to lead us.
That was the beginning of the most stretching, most beautiful chapter of our lives.

Life on the field
Italy Is Home Now
Living in Italy as missionaries means we wear a lot of hats. On any given week, you might find us preparing for Sunday's sermon, planning a summer camp, hosting a leadership workshop, or navigating the Italian bureaucracy with a dictionary in hand.
The language was hard. The culture was different. But the people — the people have become our family. We've shared meals, celebrated weddings, mourned losses, and watched lives change. That's what keeps us here.
We pastor a local church that is the heartbeat of our community. The building needs renovation, but the people inside it are already something beautiful. We're working to restore both — the walls and the souls within them.
What Drives Us
Faith
Everything we do flows from a deep trust in God's faithfulness — even when the path is unclear.
Community
We believe people were made for each other. Building genuine, lasting community is at the core of our mission.
Presence
We're not here for a short trip. We're here for the long haul — showing up, staying, and putting down roots.
And Then There's Freedom
No story about the Millers is complete without mentioning Freedom — our dog, our mascot, and honestly our best ambassador. Freedom has a gift for making people feel at home, which, when you think about it, is exactly what we're trying to do too. He's been with us through every season of this adventure, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
